Project
Create a retro-style book cover based on a song from the 1980s. Use lyrics, title, musician, and three original images. The genre was Horror, so I used respective fonts, imagery, and color pallets.
Research
When given the project scope, my first plan was to listen to big hits from the 1980s. My first choice was any of the songs by The Police due to their popularity in the mid-late ’80s. Their song “Every Breath You Take”, which can be heard here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMOGaugKpzs, was my first option. I took an image of a car parked in front of a forest path, an image of someone holding a knife, and a picture of someone’s face. I placed all these images in a file to create the book cover
